During last week’s holiday-shortened week, the Canadian junior mining continued to display glimpses of brilliance. Many companies made new YTD highs, 52-week highs, or multi-year highs. Meanwhile, the TSX-Venture Composite (more than 50% mining related) closed at a 3-year high:

The horizontal dotted red line represents the next major resistance level (former support from 2021/22), roughly 15% above Friday’s closing level for the Canadian micro/small cap index.

This week’s charts are exclusively junior miners, with a wide ranging market cap range. We begin with the smallest company in this week’s list, Golden Sky Minerals (TSX-V:AUEN, OTC:LCKYF):

AUEN shares were up nearly 20% last week, the 5th consecutive weekly gain for Golden Sky. AUEN has doubled from its March low and the volume expansion since mid-April help to confirm the nascent uptrend; moreover, the CCI and RSI technical indicators confirm that a strong trend is taking shape in AUEN shares.

Even after the recent rally, Golden Sky still has a modest C$3 million market cap. On April 24th, Golden Sky announced a C$220,000 strategic investment into the company by Rob McEwen.
